Course information

If you care about climate change, want to understand it better, and take meaningful action, this course is for you.

Vibe: fun, friendly and supportive community - no prior expertise needed.

During the four weekly sessions we will cover: 

1. climate science: why we need to act

2. high impact solutions and actions: discover what actually makes a difference 

3. finding your place: discovering your role in the climate movement 

4. your personal climate action plan: practical ways to take action

Course objectives:

  • understand why climate action matters and what actually works

  • find your own ‘line’ in the climate movement

  • create a realistic personal climate action plan

  • feel confident and empowered to take action

  • be part of a supportive community of climate changemakers

Workload expectations: the majority of learning will be during course time with small take-home tasks to prepare you for the next session.

Materials required: access to Teams and wifi, something to write with (pen and paper if you prefer).

Hi I’m Melanie Joan – a snowboarder, artist, climate change policy advisor, and the person behind ClimateChangeBowl.

I have a Masters in climate change science and policy and have worked as a climate change policy advisor for several years. ClimateChangeBowl is how I pass on my climate knowledge in a creative way and help create change.
